Swimming Pool Water-Based Emulsion Paint

Cement and concrete surfaces:

• New Floor:

Allow at least 30 days to elapse before being painted for complete setting. The surface must be porous and the lime milk must be removed from the setting. Before proceeding with painting, the support must be free of damp, clean, dry and without the presence of rust, grease or salt.

If there are traces of dirt or the pore has to be opened, whether it is a new surface or not, proceed with the Following way:

1. Apply salfumán or diluted acids 10-15% in water and leave to act for 15 minutes.

2. Rinse with plenty of water to neutral pH.

3. Wait 24-48 hours for it to dry properly.

Once the surface is prepared, we will begin by priming the support. For this, a first layer of Sellacryl diluted with Thinner for water-based paints and enamels in a 4:1 ratio, respectively. As an alternative, it you could apply a first coat of Water-Based Paint diluted 25% with Thinner for water-based paints and enamels. Wait 8 hours to repaint.

Apply two coats of Piscinas al Agua directly after use or diluting a maximum of 5% with our Diluent for water-based paints and enamels, leaving 6 hours to dry between coats.

On old painted surfaces:

• With paints in good quality condition:

Wash and sand lightly, putty if necessary and apply afterwards. In addition, an adhesion test is recommended to ensure material compatibility. For this it must paint a small non-visible area, let it dry for two weeks and try scraping or scratching to see if the adhesion is adequate.

• With paintings in poor condition:

Remove and proceed as a new surface. If alkalinity is detected on the support, must correct.

• Tile or mosaic surfaces:

The surface must be prepared properly, sand the area to be prepared and leave it free of dust, clean and dry. One time prepared, apply the Water-based Epoxy Primer diluted 30% with the Diluent for water-based paints and enamels.

Let dry for 24 hours to repaint. Apply two coats of Piscinas al Agua to the use or diluting a maximum of 5% with

the Thinner for water-based paints and enamels, leaving 6 hours between coats.

It is recommended to allow at least 15 days to elapse before filling the pool.

We remind you that the growth of algae or mold can be a purification problem.

Special acrylic resins

• Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
• Do not apply with risk of frost or rain.
• Do not apply in conditions of strong winds or in direct sunlight.
• Avoid using different batches in the same cloth or, failing that, mix the current can with the next one at 50% to reduce the normal differences between batches.
• Allow at least 15 days to pass before filling the pool.
