Pétrex 5 Mortar TX 1,2 Siloxane

Acrylic mortar of special thick layer for facades, formulated with siloxane modified acrylic resin that gives it water repellent properties improving its impermeability to liquid water and its breathability.
It is a product with a long open time that provides a very good workability, with high initial hydrophobicity and high light fastness, elastic and with great covering and filling power.

Modo de empleo :

1 ⇒ Preliminary considerations

Surfaces must be clean and dry, free of rust, dust, grease, saltpetre, humidity, etc.

Hard surfaces or surfaces containing old paint should be scraped and thoroughly cleaned.

In specific cases, specific sealers such as Sellacril (transparent) or Sellaprim Exterior (pigmented) can be used if it is necessary to improve the consistency of the substrate, but Pétrex 5 Smooth primer will generally suffice.

2 ⇒ Base coat: Pétrex 5 Smooth

Apply a coat of Pétrex 5 Liso diluted with 10-15% water, as an equalizing primer, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the substrate.

This product can be applied by brush, roller or spray/airless.

It is not essential that this layer be completely opaque, since Pétrex 5 Acrylic Mortar TX 1,2 Siloxane will be applied on top of it.

 

 3 ⇒ Finishing coat: Pétrex 5 Acrylic Mortar TX 1,2 Siloxane

After 6 hours have elapsed since the previous phase, apply Pétrex 5 Mortero Acrílico TX 1,2 Siloxano al uso with a stainless steel trowel or gun, spreading it uniformly over the surface.

It should be avoided to leave a cloth in the middle to avoid having splices that are difficult to execute.

One way to simplify the application is to use working joints, made with tape or wooden slats.

Propiedades:
It provides hard but elastic finishes, impermeable to rainwater, permeable to water vapor and resistant to adverse weather conditions. It incorporates Jafep’s exclusive Atmh system that delays the appearance of the effects of humidity by incorporating, among other additives, anti-mildew preservatives. Great filling power without cracking, which conceals the defects of the plaster. It favors the expulsion of humidity in the form of vapor thanks to its breathable properties. It has a high open time which allows a good work of the product and also a high initial hydrophobicity. It has a great hardness and extraordinary durability.
Precauciones:
Avoid adding water to the product that is not going to be used in order to avoid product degradation.
Stir the contents vigorously until completely homogenized.
Do not apply if rain or frost is expected during or in the days following application.
Do not apply in strong winds or in direct sunlight.
Avoid using different batches in the same cloth or, failing that, mix the current pot with the next one at 50% to reduce the normal differences between batches.
Ventilate sufficiently the application site, during and after use of the product.
Do not apply if the temperature of the substrate or the ambient temperature is lower than 5° C or higher than 30° C.
Do not expose containers to extreme temperatures.

● Keep out of direct sunlight.
